Traceful Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Traceful, operated by Asantrava ("we", "us", or "our"), handles information when you use the Traceful iOS app.

Information we process

• Account information: a Supabase user identifier and, when supplied by Apple or Google, an email address and display name.
• App activity: favourites, onboarding choices, progression, AI allowance usage, and account-linked purchase entitlement records.
• Purchases: verified App Store transaction and entitlement information. Payment details are handled by Apple, not Traceful.
• Selected photos: only images you actively choose or capture for tracing or AI simplification.
• Technical security data: limited request, device-installation, and network-derived identifiers used for authentication, abuse prevention, quotas, and service reliability.

How information is used

We use this information to operate authentication and syncing, provide drawing downloads, verify Pro access, generate line-art references on request, enforce allowances and prevent abuse, maintain progression, and respond to support or security issues. Traceful does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not sell personal information.

Photos and AI generation

Camera access is requested contextually for capturing references and camera-assisted tracing. Apple's photo picker limits access to the image you select. When you choose Turn Into Drawing, the selected image is sent over encrypted HTTPS to Traceful's server and then to OpenAI solely to create the requested result. Traceful is designed not to place private photos, authentication tokens, or generated image content in application logs. OpenAI API content may be retained for abuse monitoring according to OpenAI's applicable API data controls. Generated results and user projects are stored locally unless a future cloud-backup feature clearly says otherwise.

Storage and sharing

Supabase provides authentication, database, server functions, and protected file storage. Apple provides purchases and Sign in with Apple. Google provides optional OAuth sign-in. OpenAI processes images only when you request AI simplification. These providers process data under their own terms and security practices.

Retention and deletion

Account-linked records are retained while your account is active or as reasonably needed for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, and purchase integrity. You can delete your Traceful account from Profile → Account → Delete Account. Account deletion removes the Supabase Auth account and account-owned cloud records. It does not cancel an Apple subscription and does not silently delete drawings stored only on your device. Local projects can be removed using the app's own delete or clear controls.

Your choices

You may use the basic app without an account, deny camera access, avoid AI generation, sign out, manage subscriptions through Apple, or request account deletion in the app. Applicable privacy law may provide additional access, correction, deletion, or objection rights.

Children and international use

Traceful is not directed to children under the minimum age required to consent to data processing in their region. Information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.
